SWIM SCHOOL POLICIES

Payments:
Payment is due during enrolment week; failure to comply may result in forfeiture of your/your child’s space to our waiting list.
Payment must be made through our secure booking platform, ClassForKids. Cash payments are also accepted.
Refunds are not provided for absences of any kind; payment secures your/your child’s swimming lesson and time slot for the term.
Payments are non-transferable.
Credits and Refunds:
Credits or refunds are only applicable in case of pool closures.
Refunds will be processed via ClassForKids and may take up to 10 working days.
Liability:
Sue Shaw’s Swim School cannot be held liable for incidents or accidents in the changing rooms, foyer, or within the school grounds.
We are not responsible for any damage to items in the changing rooms, foyer, or within the school grounds.
Child Supervision:
Parents/Guardians must remain in the pool building while their children swim.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for supervising their children outside of their allotted swim time.
Teachers are responsible for supervision only during the lesson time on poolside.
Swimmer Etiquette:
Swimmers must arrive on time for their lesson wearing appropriate swimwear. Bikinis or baggy shorts are not permitted.
Swimming goggles and hats are optional. Long hair must be tied back.
Emergency contact details, swimming ability, and medical information must be declared prior to starting the course and kept up to date.
During Distance Swims, children must wait their turn on poolside before attempting their swim, and an extra towel is required for warmth.
Manual Support:
Certain teaching aspects may require hands-on guidance from the teacher or assistant to ensure correct body position.
Safeguarding:
Safeguarding guidelines align with Swim England’s Wavepower.
The use of telephones or recording devices is not permitted in the changing rooms or on poolside.
Professional photos will only be taken with signed permission from all involved parties.
Changing Room Etiquette:
Children under 8 must use the changing room corresponding to the accompanying adult’s gender.
Children over 8 must use the changing room assigned to their gender.
Behaviour Policy:
Kindness and respect are expected at all times.
Use of bad language, physical abuse, or bullying will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the course without refund.
